low voltage power pack

This is the 4th power pack I've had to order. It seems that the timer quits working or it gets a short inside after a 3 or 4 year period. The product is excellent but work needs to be done on making them last longer. I realize it runs 24/7 but I have other things that run 24/7 also and they don't die in 3 or 4 years. It is not overloaded but indeed under the rated capacity. Hope Intermatic gets this and works on improving their already good product.More detail ...

It's Cute at Night!

Even I think color-changing light is a bit tacky but hey this is a hummingbird! A clear acrylic hummingbird tops a two-part stake. A rechargeable battery is included and must be inserted into one half of the stake prior to assembly. The solar panel is a disk encircling the stake. The hummingbird is well-done. There's some detail; it's not just a blob.



This baby stays lit all night. It's still lit at sunrise. The LED is a pretty bright light. This piece makes a bold statement at night. That said it's virtually invisible during the day. I do like it and will look for more solar/LED lighting now that I've tried this. If you prefer yard art with a little class you won't like it. If you're into novelty you will.



Edit May 9 2009: I stored the unit in the garage over the winter. The solar panel was slightly damaged by wind and rain during the summer. But when I brought it out this year it still worked by golly. I bought another one and posted some photos.More detail ...

Just The Right Touch!

Not too big and not too small. These solar lights are beautimous!! They provide just the right accent for my flower garden. I love the different colored hues they display while transitioning from color to color! Adorned with the mosaic crackle glass balls they are every bit as pretty during the day as they are at night. Bright as expected- Good Value

These are as bright as I would expect from solar charged LEDs brighter than most others I've seen. They have no affect on a night with a bright full moon. But when it's pitch black out they make a huge difference. They make my front walk and steps safe. I put aluminum foil inside of one half and inside the top to reflect more light on the walkway. The charge will last at least a few hours from indirect sun and the lights stay bright for long into the night if they are in full sun. They're easy to install and easy to get apart if you have to work on them. It looks like the rechargeable AA battery inside could be replaced if it ever needed to be. This is absolutely worthless. These "spotlights" are about as bright as a Bic lighter! A waste of money! Do not buy these! I cannot believe they sell these flimsy dull lights! So disappointing!More detail ...

This is an incandesecent rope light - NOT LED. Although the description doesn't claim it is an LED rope light - this was one of the top returns when I searched for LED ROPE LIGHT.
